Cardinals Add Division I
Transfer To Depth Chart
PLATTSBURGH,
N.Y. - With the recent injury plague
that’s fallen on the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Men’s Hockey team,
coach Bob Emery has called upon an old face to help the Cardinals
fight for their 20th SUNYAC Title and a return trip to
the NCAA Tournament.
Joining the
Cardinals starting this weekend will be Division I transfer from
Bemidji State Darcy Findlay, who was slatted to come to Plattsburgh
at the beginning of the season, but was unable to get his
transcripts forwarded to the college on time. The 5’10 205lbs
Sophomore forward, who hails from Bristol Quebec, played for the
Bemidji State Beavers for the past three semesters totaling 3 goals
and 5 assists in 31 games for the Beavers.
Before going to
Bemidji State, Findlay played for the St.Jerome Panthers of the
QJAHL where he scored 12 goals and added 18 assists in just 27
games, and was the leading scorer for the Panthers.
Findlay is said
to have a great shot from the slot and will look to bring some much
added finishing touches to an already talented Cardinal offense.
The Cardinals
will be on the road this weekend to face SUNYAC foes Geneseo on
Friday night and then travel to Brockport Saturday night. The
Cardinals will be on the road for the next 4 games.
